Call Recording Notice

Plain version: when Call Vault answers a call for one of our clients, the call may be recorded and transcribed. We tell the caller, and the caller can ask for a person instead.

Effective July 1, 2026 · Call Vault Inc.

Recording and transcription

Calls handled by the Call Vault service may be recorded and transcribed so they can be answered accurately, appointments and details captured correctly, and quality maintained.

How callers are told

Callers are informed that the call is recorded as part of the conversation. A caller who does not wish to continue on a recorded line can ask to be connected to a person or end the call.

Why we record

  • To capture booking details, messages, and caller requests accurately.
  • To maintain and improve the quality of call handling.
  • To keep a record of what was said for the business receiving the call.

Canadian context

Under Canadian law, a call may generally be recorded with the consent of one party to the conversation. As a matter of good practice and respect for callers, Call Vault discloses recording during the call rather than relying on that alone.

How recordings are handled

Recordings and transcripts are stored securely, kept for a limited period, used for the purposes above, and are not sold. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information generally.
